Product Description
This panorama of the University of Virginia's Scott Stadium was taken by Nathan Haler. Scott Stadium's Pergola Plaza and grass hillside help make it one of the nation's most picturesque football stadiums. Located in Charlottesville, Virginia, Scott Stadium opened on Oct. 15, 1931 with a seating capacity of 22,000. The stadium was built thanks to a gift from Frederic William Scott and Elisabeth Strother Scott, and was dedicated to the memory of his parents, Frederic Robert Scott and Frances Branch Scott. In addition to serving as the home of Cavalier football, Scott Stadium has hosted performances from the Dave Matthews Band, the Rolling Stones and U2. After several expansion projects, the stadium's capacity is now 61,500.
