Since it opened in 2003, Lincoln Financial Field has been the home to the Philadelphia Eagles. When it opened, it replaced Veterans Stadium which had been the home to both the Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies. While the total seating capacity is similar at almost 70,000, the Linc doubled luxury and wheelchair accessible seating. The design of the stadium is meant to evoke the team's namesake eagle with wing like canopies above the east and west stands and the Eagle's Nest balcony beyond the north end-zone.
