North Wilkesboro Speedway is a short oval .625-mile racetrack with a unique uphill backstretch and a downhill frontstretch. The track operated from 1949-1996, briefly reopening in 2010-11 for a series of races and again in August 2022 for grassroots racing. On May 21, 2023, as part of NASCAR's 75th anniversary celebrations, NASCAR returned to this historic track, after a 27-year absence, for the NASCAR All-Star Race pictured here.
