This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, commemorates the San Francisco 49ers final touchdown at their very last regular season game against the Atlanta Falcons, marking the end of Candlestick Park’s sporting history on December 23, 2013. Leaving the home crowd with a thrilling memory of the old stadium, in the final few minutes of the game the 49ers intercepted a pass deep in their own territory and returned it 89 yards for a touchdown, sealing the victory and clinching a playoff berth. The final score was San Francisco 34, Atlanta 24. The 49ers called Candlestick Park home from 1971-2013, recording a 225-121-2 combined record in the building.
