This aerial panorama of the University of Nebraska was taken by James Blakeway. Centered left in the photo is Memorial Stadium, filled to capacity during a Nebraska Cornhuskers football game. It has been home to Husker football since 1923 and has grown substantially from its original 31,000 seating capacity. Today, after completion of the East Stadium expansion, Memorial Stadium has seating capacity for over 92,000 fans. Pictured on the far right is Pinnacle Bank Arena, the Huskers new basketball arena. This 470,000 square foot, state-of-the-art arena will offer the entire state of Nebraska year-round entertainment. Right of center, in the distance, is the Nebraska State Capitol building.
