This panorama, taken on April 9, 2017, captures the final game at Joe Louis Arena for the Detroit Red Wings. The Joe has been home to the Red Wings since 1979 and was the venue for several records including the NHL®-best home winning percentage with over 800 victories,16 division championships, a 25 consecutive season Playoff run and four Stanley Cup® Championships. Hockeytown® fans have supported their home town team with a sell-out streak at Joe Louis Arena dating back to December 19, 2010. For the final season, several celebratory events and fan promotions were held and a commemorative 'Farewell Season at the Joe' patch was developed to close this chapter in Detroit Red Wings history.
